Requirements
  • The candidate must work within a hybrid model requiring US Tax professionals to co-locate in person two to three days per week.
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field is required.
  • The candidate must have at least three years of software development experience in workflow automation, process management, or case management solutions using commercial off-the-shelf tools such as Pega, custom development such as .NET, or a combination.
  • The candidate must have demonstrated ownership of features or modules delivered end to end with limited oversight.
  • The candidate must be able to work independently, make sound technical decisions, and collaborate with, guide, or mentor other engineers.
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
  • The candidate must be willing and able to travel up to 20% on average.
  • The candidate must hold, be obtaining, or be willing and able to obtain one of the specified professional accreditations, including a certified public accountant license where eligible, or an attorney license, enrolled agent credential, AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification, Certified SAFE Agile Software Engineer certification, Certified SAFE DevOps Practitioner certification, or Certified SAFE Architect certification.
Responsibilities
  • Design and build workflow and task-management capabilities for Global Employer Services business processes using Pega, .NET, C#, and other technologies.
  • Develop and support Representational State Transfer application programming interfaces, microservices, and integration services across internal and client-facing platforms.
  • Own modules and features end to end, including technical design, effort estimation, unit testing, deployment support, and production issue resolution.
  • Drive quality, maintainability, and reuse across the codebase.
  • Contribute to technical design decisions, code reviews, and engineering standards.
  • Mentor less experienced engineers, share context, and improve team engineering practices.
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, technical program managers, engineering managers, quality engineers, and business stakeholders.
  • Improve platform performance, application stability, supportability, and delivery practices.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting multinational clients.
  • Experience with global mobility technology, workforce mobility tools, or compliance reporting solutions.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including networking, security controls, and deployment architecture.
  • Experience with DevOps or DevSecOps practices, continuous integration and continuous deployment tooling, and infrastructure as code.
  • Experience applying cybersecurity or compliance frameworks such as the National Institute of Standards and Technology, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or data privacy standards such as the General Data Protection Regulation.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, deployment, testing, and other application tooling platforms, as well as Jira, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, or similar program-tracking or information-technology service-management tools.
  • Pega or TOGAF certification, or willingness to obtain it.
  • Effective written and verbal communication and strong attention to quality.

AI forces companies to rethink hiring practices as job applications surge and entry-level pipelines shrink

Business Insider convened 15 HR and C-suite leaders in Davos to discuss how AI is reshaping hiring and talent pipelines. The roundtable, presented by Indeed, revealed growing concerns about entry-level positions and skills assessment. Deloitte's Elizabeth Faber emphasised maintaining a "human-led, technology-powered" approach whilst carefully navigating reduced junior hiring. TCW's Melissa Stolfi noted her firm has downsized its analyst class but maintains a pyramid structure to preserve apprenticeship culture and future leadership pipelines. Indeed's chief economist Svenja Gudell warned that whilst tech employers now demand five-plus years' experience, this creates future talent shortages if junior hiring continues declining. Salesforce's Nathalie Scardino said her company receives two million applications annually and has shifted focus from years of experience to learning aptitude. Manpower Group's Becky Frankiewicz noted AI can process candidates faster whilst reducing bias, potentially unlocking opportunities beyond traditional qualifications.

Deloitte to hire 50,000 employees in India, eyes Mangaluru expansion

Deloitte plans to hire 50,000 employees in India and is evaluating Mangaluru, Karnataka, as a potential new location, according to South Asia CEO Romal Shetty. The company currently employs 140,000 people in India, representing one in four Deloitte employees globally. Shetty said India hosts 50% of all global capability centres worldwide, with significant growth potential in Tier II and Tier III cities. He proposed creating digital economic zones integrating GCCs, GPU-based data centres, startups and academic institutions to accelerate expansion. The CEO called for streamlining GCC setup processes from six months to two weeks, whilst acknowledging infrastructure constraints around energy and water for data centres. Shetty noted Mangaluru offers advantages including talent availability and real estate, adding the company's presence there is a matter of timing.
