Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences discipline such as nursing, physician assistant, or pharmacy is required; advanced degree is preferred (e.g., MBA, MHA, M.A.Ed).
  • 5+ years of experience in the life sciences industry, including a combination of clinical (nursing, pharmacy, etc.), business, and/or clinical education.
  • Proven experience in a surgeon training and program development, preferably with global responsibilities.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Experience in developing individuals into subject matter experts, particularly in clinical areas.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience in designing and implementing sales training and professional education programs across multiple regions and cultures.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and demonstrate training impact.
  • Familiarity with the latest trends and technologies in learning and development.
Responsibilities
  • Supports the implementation of the overall global learning and development strategy for sales training and surgeon education
  • Develop Residency Programs: Design and build world-class residency programs for surgeons and healthcare professionals, focusing on delivering high-quality, hands-on training experiences.
  • Surgeon Training: Develop and execute comprehensive training programs for surgeons, including curriculum development, on-site training, and post-training assessments.
  • Staff Training: Lead the creation of educational resources and training for medical staff, ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to support surgeons effectively.
  • Collaborate with Experts: Work closely with key opinion leaders (KOLs), medical professionals, and internal stakeholders to develop high-impact training content.
  • Assess and Improve Programs: Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, implementing improvements to maintain excellence in educational delivery.
  • Innovate Educational Approaches: Explore and implement innovative training methods, including digital learning, simulation, and hands-on workshops.
  • Compliance and Accreditation: Ensure all training programs meet industry standards and accreditation requirements.
  • Leads the execution of the sales training program (the ACADEMY) and surgeon education programs to ensure programs operate efficiently, effectively and compliantly
  • Is a subject matter expert and effectively disseminates/knowledge transfers to the sales force and surgeons in order to meet corporate requirements.
  • Leads webinars and live training sessions
  • Coordinates logistics of training courses
  • Conducts field learning and development sign offs, recertifications, and surgeon trainings
  • Maintains all course documentation, training plans, and initiate training profiles for global sales representatives and surgeon education.
  • Maintains new product introduction training courses and update existing product training course as necessary.
  • Manages existing customer face-to-face and online educational programs and symposia, cadaver labs, proctorships and, as applicable, support grand rounds and physician journal club lectures
  • Collaborates with cross functional partners to execute an effective sales training and professional education programs
  • Works to ensure presentations are consistent with PROCEPT BioRobotics’ goals and objectives and in compliance with PROCEPT BioRobotics’ indications for use
  • Utilizes sound knowledge of the functionalities and structures of the Learning Management System (LMS). Maintaining and expanding content within LMS systems training content. Monitors and updates training records based on requirements and progress. Ensures accurate record registration and completion of learning activities.
  • Understands and applies market, industry, competitor, and health care compliance, legal, and regulatory knowledge
  • Supports the planning and execution of sales meetings
  • Health Care Compliance guidelines as well as follow operating room training and safety standards (Bloodborne pathogens training, etc.)
