Requirements
  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture or a related field of study.
  • Actively pursuing or have achieved professional licensure in Landscape Architecture.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, and modeling programs such as Sketch-Up and Lumion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and VantagePoint.
  • Comprehensive understanding and proficiency in the landscape architecture profession with the ability to exercise judgment within defined procedures to solve problems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project ownership and execution.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare digital and hand drawings to communicate master plans, design elements, and site features.
  • Support the writing of proposals and change orders and the development of fee budgets.
  • Create project plans and align them with the project fee budget.
  • Produce legible and clear construction documents and demonstrate expertise in technical aspects of construction drawings.
  • Provide preliminary internal Quality Control reviews of plans in coordination with the project lead.
  • Participate in and lead client and regulatory review meetings and prepare meeting minutes.
  • Develop and assist in the development of written technical specifications.
  • Advise clients and teams on project next steps to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Independently participate in Construction Administration activities and construction phase services for projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Ensure the quality of planting design within the regional context of the project and execute accurate grading plans.
  • Support and lead the Design Studio in developing and advancing creative design concepts for clients.
  • Support public outreach and collaboration efforts as required by project assignments.
  • Conduct project research, precedent studies, ordinance reviews, and prepare site reviews and analyses.
  • Prepare Computer-Aided Design documentation, project concept design packages, construction documentation, and permit drawing sets.
  • Train and mentor Designer I and Designer II staff members.
  • Collaborate with internal design teams of civil engineers, planners, contractors, and client consultant teams.
  • Represent the firm in design team meetings and speak confidently regarding project understanding.
  • Participate in the development and enhancement of daily processes and practices to support project efficiency.
