About the Role

Reporting to the Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting the month-end close process, as well as assisting with various ad hoc projects. The General Accountant will also support the Controller in responding to analytical requests from cross-functional partners.

This position is a 15-month contract with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities

Analyzing selected balance sheet and income statement accounts on a monthly basis
Preparing monthly and quarterly journal entries and account reconciliations
Participating in the month-end closing processes
Assisting in the preparation of financial reports
Collecting, monitoring and analyzing data to assess accuracy and integrity of various transactions
Preparing and maintaining financial schedules and worksheets
Assisting with the preparation of audit schedules for the external auditors
Assisting and performing various ad hoc projects

Qualifications :

Completion of an accounting/finance degree
3 years involved in full cycle accounting
Strong numeracy and analytic skills
Good problem-solving and time management skills

Enthusiasm and an entrepreneurial spirit
Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a results-driven, fast-moving environment
Strong computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP software
Strong organization, interpersonal and follow-up skills
