- Minimum BS/BA in Computer Science or related field of study.
- 10+ years professional experience supporting a large network and telecomm environment.
- Strong technical knowledge in data networking, IP Telephony and TDM voice technologies including firewalls, load balancers, WAN acceleration, and proxies.
- Experience developing, reviewing and refining Operational processes.
- Ability to work with outside vendors, agencies or organizations.
- Ability to drive Incidents to resolution through management of support vendors.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong Problem Management skills.
- Knowledge of ITIL framework - certifications desired.
- Advanced Cisco Certifications highly desirable – CCNP / CCDP / CCIE preferred.
- Budgeting experience.
- Ability to quickly prioritize tasks.
- Decision Making/Problem Solving Skills.
- Experience working in a regulated environment.
- Ability to take ownership and manage requests, problems and opportunities with a sense of urgency and under pressure.
- Day-to-day network and telecomm operations (Incident Management, Problem Management, Sev1’s, escalations) in the NA region.
- Apply deep technical knowledge to help manage outsourced vendors in all aspects of Operations.
- Process development and review for network and telecomm domains.
- Risk Management – help log, prioritize and drive remediation of Risks in the environment.
- Support of network base business projects.
- An advanced degree in Computer Science or related field.
- ITIL framework knowledge or certifications desired.
- Advanced Cisco Certifications CCNP, CCDP, CCIE preferred.
- Experience with budgeting.
- Any other certifications or skills that support senior network engineering roles.
