Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in client/agency sales with a proven track record of success.
  • Established relationships with top agencies and travel brands (DMOs/CVBs/etc) *Domestic and global relationships preferred.
  • High level of customer service and professionalism, and a natural understanding of how to effectively manage client and agency relationships.
  • Sound knowledge of the latest trends in the digital advertising industry and associated products & processes.
  • Solid understanding of the sales environment including targets and success measures and an appreciation of the pressures and drivers associated with working in sales.
  • Exceptional knowledge of Lonely Planet brand, content, products & platforms and the opportunities that exist for Client Solutions.
  • Excellent organization skills with real attention to detail.
  • Time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple pitches, tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Self-starter attitude with a drive to succeed.
Responsibilities
  • Create a strategic global sales strategy that includes frequent client and agency touchpoints online and in person.
  • Management of designated customer relationships throughout the RFP response process.
  • Engage Integrated Marketing and creative teams for creative brainstorming, project creation and delivery.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline details within the OMS for accurate sales forecasting.
  • Ability to work well but also self-sufficient and scrappy across a small team.
  • Qualify leads and discern real opportunities, identifying appropriate product mix for clients.
  • Cross-media integration, understanding Lonely Planet’s key selling propositions and creative process for custom campaigns.
  • Considerate of the wider Lonely Planet business strategic objectives and look for solutions that will help further these goals.
