Requirements
  • A master's degree in a related field is preferred, with Social Work, Psychology, or Counseling identified as examples.
  • Three to five years of progressive experience in customer service, guest relations, social work, or a similar role is required.
  • Experience working with elderly people is required.
  • RCFE certification is preferred.
  • The employee must pass background checks, including a fitness-for-duty physical, fingerprinting, and employment-reference checks, as required by a licensed residential care facility.
Responsibilities
  • Develop, foster, and improve relationships between the community, residents, and their families, focusing on resident satisfaction.
  • Ensure resident questions are answered, needs are met, and resident-relations areas are coordinated.
  • Oversee Residential Social Workers, Navigators, and Concierge Services and ensure accurate responses to questions and customer-service needs.
  • Oversee the efficient and effective resolution of resident complaints and answer residents’ questions about the community and its policies.
  • Manage departmental operating and capital budgets.
  • Provide effective counseling programs for grief, depression, illness, and trauma or loss associated with moving, including individual and group counseling.
  • Provide customer service by problem-solving, guiding residents to relevant information, and serving as a liaison between residents and staff.
  • Monitor residents’ overall well-being and report significant changes in condition or concerns to the appropriate directors.
  • Perform other relevant duties as required.
