Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of managing and building scalable cloud based infrastructure on AWS in an enterprise environment
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional / or equivalent
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
  • AWS services: RDS, Aurora, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, EC2, Lambda functions, Elastic Beanstalk
  • Awesome Linux skills (including hardening)
  • Understanding and implementation of AWS security best practices and working knowledge of the “Well-Architected Framework”
  • Experience in building infrastructure as code
  • Experience using Python in a DevOps capacity
  • Git
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and part of a team
  • Ability to solve problems that don't have an out of the box solution
  • Communicate professionally, tactfully, and kindly while maintaining a high level of confidentiality at all times

Responsibilities
  • Daily management of the UK engineering infrastructure
  • Set and maintain technically excellent and secure operational production and non production environments
  • Be the primary source of infrastructure knowledge in the UK team
  • Provide support and assist with resolution of infrastructure issues
  • Be a source of technical expertise and mentorship
  • Liaise with both internal and external parties
  • Participate in bespoke system and environment designs and documentation
  • Monitoring of services, logs and auditing
  • Working with development in delivering CI/CD pipelines, and developer environments
  • Delivering and supporting the implementation of projects
  • Build strong relationships with their peers as well as their teams' relevant business stakeholders both in UK and US teams
