Requirements
  • MD or equivalent degree with pathology specialty training and certification by the American Board of Pathology in Anatomic Pathology
  • Fellowship training in such subspecialties as Gynecological Pathology, Gastrointestinal/Liver, Head and Neck/Endocrine, and/or Dermatopathology
  • Board certification in AP or AP/CP
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in South Carolina
  • Experience in fostering collaborative relationships with colleagues, clinicians and researchers as well as serving as the diagnostic resource for area of subspecialty surgical cases and resource to technologists at the bench
  • Participation in clinical and/or translational research endeavors is expected
  • Excellent communication skills, work ethic, and team player approach to patient care
  • Ability to instruct medical students, participate in the training of pathology residents and surgical pathology fellows, and actively participate in the academic mission of the Hollings Cancer Center adult and pediatric programs and subspecialty tumor board
Desired Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of post-fellowship experience is preferred; current fellow/recent graduates will be considered
