Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required
  • 3–5 years of clinical experience in Women’s Health/Labor & Delivery/Nursery
  • Minimum of 1–3 years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Current South Carolina or compact state registered nurse license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) with the American Heart Association
Responsibilities
  • Direct, administer, and coordinate all activities within Women’s Services, including Labor & Delivery and Nursery units.
  • Develop, implement, and enforce departmental policies and procedures to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Oversee recruitment, orientation, and evaluation of nursing personnel to ensure delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Partner with HR to drive retention strategies, foster professional development, and enhance nursing satisfaction.
  • Manage departmental budgets, staffing models, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor and drive performance improvement initiatives in clinical outcomes, patient experience, and employee engagement.
  • Serve as a liaison between staff, physicians, patients, and families to foster collaborative relationships and address concerns.
