What you’ll do...
The Internship
Held over an 11-week period during the summer of 2025 for undergrad students graduating between December 2025 and August 2026. The paid internship will prepare associates to join a diverse, cutting-edge team engaged in highly technical tax issues.
About Tax
Walmart is on the forefront of tax and experiences a wide range of complex adjustments that will be sure to enhance your experience and provide in-depth development. Experience a wholistic view of the Fortune 1 tax department. You will work on challenging and innovative, strategically relevant projects that provide exposure to US Federal and state income tax, global income tax reporting (provision), indirect taxes (sales and use, property), and more. Through on-the-job experience, you will gain broad tax knowledge while working in a dynamic team environment. You will participate in broader Walmart Finance events, including meetings with Walmart executive leaders across the organization, as well as social events with other interns and tax department associates.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program.
Expected graduation date between December 2025-August 2026
3.0 GPA or higher preferred
Ability to juggle multiple priorities simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong time-management skills.
Excited about joining us onsite at Walmart HQ in Bentonville AR.

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam’s Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00-$35.00*
*The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.
Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
