As the Manufacturing and Operations Specialist, you will take ownership of key integration processes within manufacturing and assembly, support the design for manufacturing (DFM) aspects, and contribute to asset and facility management. You’ll also collaborate across teams to ensure smooth operations and help drive the success of the company in this fast-evolving environment.
This position will be based in Arlington, TX.
What you’ll be doing:
- Integrate Components, Collaborate with technicians, operators and engineers to install components on the assembly floor.
- Understand the detailed steps required for successful integration and ensure these steps are clearly defined and followed in the manufacturing and assembly phases.
- Train team members on integration processes and manage the ongoing adherence to best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration-related issues during production to maintain efficiency.
- Work with engineering and design teams to develop effective and efficient assembly steps that align with product specifications.
- Contribute to the Design for Manufacturing (DFM) process, ensuring that product designs can be easily and cost-effectively manufactured at scale.
- Continuously assess and improve assembly methods to streamline processes and optimize production timelines.
- Support the acquisition, management, and maintenance of production assets, tools, and equipment.
- Oversee the installation, setup, and operation of new equipment or facilities to meet production requirements.
- Ensure all assets are well-maintained, properly documented, and tracked for operational efficiency.
- Collaborate closely with teams across the organization, including operations, engineering, and product development, to ensure alignment on manufacturing and operational goals.
- Assist in managing various operational tasks as needed, helping to ensure the overall success and growth of the company.
- Support team communication and collaboration efforts to foster a positive, results-driven work environment.
What you will bring to this role:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s/PhD of Science in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- 3-7 years of relevant professional experience
- You are hands-on and capable of safely operating various fabrication tools such as drill presses, power saws, soldering irons, vacuum chambers, etc.
- You have demonstrated success working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary, small-team environment with the ability to manage competing priorities
This is a full time, exempt position, based out of our Arlington, TX office.
We are redefining how satellites are designed, manufactured and used—so we’re looking for candidates with passion, deep knowledge and direct experience on LEO satellite component development, design and in-orbit activities. If that’s your experience – then we’ll be immediately wow-ed.
