Requirements
  • Working knowledge of standard operating procedures, accuracy and attention to detail, time management, problem solving, hand dexterity, active learning, quality inspection metrology tools, information capture, quality management, and manufacturing safety.
  • Basic knowledge of mathematical ability, data entry, blueprint reading, and communication.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States and provide proof of eligibility through E-Verify.

  • The technician must be able to remain stationary, move around the building, move equipment, position themselves around equipment, handle and inspect items and equipment, communicate with others, perform repetitive handling and inspection tasks, and distinguish writing and defects.
  • The technician may occasionally work in a noisy environment.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain process setup sheets and tooling or fixture sheets for laser programs on the production floor.
  • Maintain basic etch programs.
  • Remain current on laser and computer-aided design and manufacturing programming methods and equipment.
  • Assist in generating simple laser programs.
  • Assist in analyzing problems and applying problem-solving skills to resolve technical problems.
  • Assist in implementing improvements in laser, possible computer numerical control programming, general processing techniques, and tooling changes to improve part quality and schedule performance and reduce manufacturing costs.
  • Perform fixture design, drawing review, engineering documentation and follow-up, and other duties; assist engineers and engineering support staff in daily functions.
  • Detect and report faulty equipment, defective material, and unusual conditions to the department supervisor or lead.
  • Safely transport products using hand trucks, pallet jacks, carts, and tables.
  • Dimensionally inspect work using calipers, comparators, pin gauges, measuring instruments, and surface plates.
  • Maintain the work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Support Lean Manufacturing and environmental, health, and safety initiatives.
  • Support quality and compliance by adhering to procedures, work instructions, and forms in the Quality Management System.
  • Follow work orders to perform operations on various parts and products.
  • Follow designated safety rules and regulations.
  • Reinforce safety expectations, ensure safe operating practices are demonstrated, and report issues or concerns to the supervisor.
  • Perform weekly housekeeping according to the 5S schedule.

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
