Proof Technology automates the process serving workflow for legal teams through a web-based platform. Law firms and legal departments upload documents, monitor delivery progress, and receive delivery notifications to ensure transparency and accountability in service of legal papers. Revenue comes from a dual model: ongoing subscriptions for platform access and per-transaction fees for each service request. Unlike traditional process servers, Proof replaces manual, unreliable methods with an automated, trackable system, increasing efficiency and reliability in the service of process. The company’s goal is to streamline the process serving step in legal workflows, reducing delays and ensuring compliance as volumes scale.

What believers are saying

  • On July 23, 2026, SmartAdvocate integration exposed Proof to 20,000+ legal professionals.
  • The February 19, 2025 Filevine extension cut handling time 75% and saved 1,800 hours.
  • Proof’s January 2024 $30.4 million Series B funded platform expansion and AI automation.

What critics are saying

  • Filevine, SmartAdvocate, and Clio can internalize service workflows, commoditizing Proof by 2027.
  • Independent process-server quality varies by jurisdiction, risking missed service, affidavit defects, and client churn.
  • A recession-driven litigation slowdown would cut transaction volume immediately and pressure Proof’s revenue.

What makes Proof Technology unique

  • Proof’s 2,600+ vetted process servers create nationwide coverage other platforms lack.
  • Proof embeds directly inside Filevine and SmartAdvocate, reducing switching friction for firms.
  • Proof bundles serving, eFiling, skip tracing, and notarization into one workflow.
