As an Electrical Controls Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining sitewide facilities systems in manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be able to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and collaborate effectively; they will demonstrate a willingness to learn, flexibility, creative problem solving, exemplary communication skills and an ability to think on their feet.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine preventive maintenance per schedule including calibrations.
- Document routine preventive maintenance on PM checklists, record data if applicable and maintain completed checklist within Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs (electrical, controls equipment and instrumentation) utilizing technical, interpersonal and critical thinking skills.
- Understands the principles of measuring levels, pressures, temperatures, flow, and uses process meters to identify and correct failures and make improvements.
- Provide inputs to Supervisor and/or Facilities Engineer to improve reliability.
- Support Tool Ownership to define and write preventive maintenance procedures.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Technical degree in Electronics, Military experience, or Semiconductor Industries experience.
- Must have excellent mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Ability to read electrical schematic diagrams and assembly drawings.
- Understanding of failure mechanisms, ability to isolate determine root cause and repair.
- Proficient in MS Windows Software (Word/Excel/Power Point/Outlook)
- Effective team player with proven relationship building & communication skills, including cross-functionally with Maintenance, Manufacturing, Engineering, Peers, Management, Customers, and Suppliers.
- Knowledge of control systems and/or PLC (Process Logic Control)
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
SKILLS:
- They’re an excellent cross-team communicator, with an understanding of process, mechanical, and electrical systems as well as controls.
- 5-10 years of experience as a hands-on technician or related field working on process automation and/or electromechanical systems.
- Working knowledge of low voltage electrical systems from 12VDC to 480VAC, networking, hand tools, multi-meters, and testing equipment.
- Ability to read and comprehend wiring diagrams, loop drawings, P&ID drawings, electrical prints ,schematics , PLC code and HMI Screens
- Strong knowledge in troubleshooting of motor controls, variable frequency drives, programmable controllers and other electronic components as well as strong understanding of HVAC and process instrumentation (pressure, level, differential pressure, temperature and analytical)
- Must have strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to interact with all levels of management; must have high degree of initiative, and the ability to work alone and effectively with other people
- Command of English Language both written and verbal.
