Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in human resources, business, industrial relations, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant prior experience, including experience in a global or matrixed organisation, is required.
  • Experience providing HR advisory support across core human resources disciplines, with working knowledge of employment law and HR practices, is required.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting HR initiatives, delivering and executing HR programmes, and supporting organisational change under the guidance of senior HR leaders is required.
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, are required.
  • Strong collaboration and relationship-building experience across HR and business groups is required.
  • Effective communication and influencing experience within a matrix environment is required.
Responsibilities
  • Support the execution of HR strategy and initiatives cascaded from the enterprise and business segment, ensuring effective delivery at regional and local levels.
  • Act as a partner to business leaders and managers by providing practical advice and operational support across the employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, development, performance, retention, and offboarding.
  • Partner with leaders to support their effectiveness by providing guidance on people leadership, performance management, and engagement topics.
  • Collaborate with HR teams to ensure consistent application of global HR policies, procedures, and initiatives, adapting them for local compliance and cultural relevance.
  • Support organisational change activities, such as restructures and role changes, ensuring effective communication and employee impact management in partnership with senior HR business partners.
  • Promote a culture of inclusion, wellbeing, and high performance by supporting relevant initiatives, training, and engagement programmes.
  • Analyse HR metrics and data to identify trends and issues, and provide insights and recommendations to HR leadership and business managers.
  • Support leadership development and succession planning activities by coordinating processes, preparing data, and partnering with senior HR business partners and Talent Partners.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations by working closely with Employee Relations, Legal, and Compliance teams.
  • Support the implementation of global reward and recognition programmes, ensuring alignment with policy and local requirements.
  • Support the effective management of site-level industrial relations, ensuring compliance with labour laws and regulations, and actively participating in collective agreements and wage negotiation processes with recognised trade unions.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with employees, management, and trade unions or representative councils.
  • Identify and devise dispute-resolution strategies for the site or location, including supporting managers in preventing and resolving industrial disputes and grievances.
  • Act as a culture ambassador by modelling and promoting the organisation's values and expected behaviours.

  • A master's degree or a professional HR qualification such as SHRM or CIPD is preferred.

CSL reports 2% drop in annual profit to $3.14B on weak plasma sales

Australian biopharmaceutical company CSL reported a 2% decline in annual profit on Tuesday, as its core plasma division experienced falling revenue. The company posted an underlying net profit after tax of $3.14 billion on a constant currency basis for the year ended 30 June, down from $3.22 billion the previous year. CSL to split Seqirus vaccine unit as shares slide 50% amid restructure and cost cuts

CSL has announced a restructuring plan including the separation of its Seqirus influenza vaccine business into a standalone entity, alongside workforce reductions and plasma collection centre closures.
