Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Approach all interactions with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Avion standards, as required by scheduling needs, which may vary according to the hotel’s requirements.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working (per brand standards).
  • Comply at all times with Avion standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Maintain a friendly and warm demeanor at all times.
  • Comply with certification requirements for the position, including Food Handlers, Alcohol Awareness, Safety, etc.
  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees at all times.
  • Greet and seat guests at appropriate tables promptly.
  • Be attentive to guests’ needs and assist in providing a pleasant dining experience.
  • Assist the cashier in collecting money or credit cards from guests and servers as needed.
  • Prepare the cashier report at the end of the shift.
  • Pay out servers’ and service attendants’ tips when appropriate.
  • Know how to properly handle reservations for outlets.
  • Ensure menus are clean and presentable.
  • Perform opening and closing duties according to the established side work checklist.
  • Answer the telephone according to standards.
  • Have complete knowledge of standards for receiving room service orders.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with menus and current specials across all applicable departments.
  • Assist servers and cashiers in servicing guests as needed.
  • Understand and adhere to state liquor laws.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
  • Attend meetings and training as required by management.
  • Interact with guests and colleagues in an occasional unsupervised capacity.
  • Maintain a high level of trust and responsibility.
  • Represent the company with good character, a solid reputation, and sound judgment.
