Requirements
  • BS degree in a scientific discipline
  • 2+ years of experience in operating and troubleshooting Liquid Handlers, Sequencers, Fragment Analyzers, and similar laboratory equipment
  • Experience working in a CLIA regulated environment
  • Strong customer focused service experience
  • Ability to engage in constructive dialogue, challenge concerns and maintain transparency
  • Proficiency in problem-solving with limited direction and making confident decisions
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong multi-tasking ability with a focus on prioritization
  • Experience in troubleshooting complex scripts is an added advantage
  • Familiarity with Molecular Biology techniques is desirable
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong relationships
  • Self-motivated with a high level of initiative
  • Drive for continual improvement
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
Responsibilities
  • Provide service, support, and troubleshooting for automated processes and instrumentation
  • Perform and coordinate maintenance work on laboratory equipment
  • Carry out Installation, Operational, and Process Qualifications on new equipment as necessary
  • Collaborate with Quality Control to ensure all documentation is completed accurately according to regulatory requirements
  • Maintain well-organized equipment records
  • Troubleshoot, conduct root cause analysis, and problem solving on lab instruments
  • Effectively coordinate with vendors as required for equipment issues
  • Prepare documentation as needed for equipment operation and maintenance
  • Propose and design plans for process improvements
  • Represent the Service Engineering Group in cross-functional meetings
  • Maintain equipment parts inventory and equipment records
  • Undertake special projects as assigned
