Requirements
  • Communication skills - guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you’ll be easy to talk to
  • Problem-solving skills to turn issues into opportunities so every guest leaves with great memories
  • Fluency in the local language - extra language skills would be great, but not essential
  • Literate and tech-savvy - good grasp of reading, writing, basic maths and computer skills
  • Flexibility - working, weekends and public holidays are all part of the job
  • Ability to work AM and PM shifts, including on weekends and public holidays
  • You must have working rights in Australia - If you are applying from outside of Australia, specify Australian work visa status in application
Responsibilities
  • Creating memorable guest experiences with the warmest of welcomes
  • Taking, managing, and receiving payments for guest bookings
  • Making the check-in and check-out process swift and seamless
  • Anticipating guests' needs and offering tailored recommendations
  • Being guests' trusted contact – helping with bill issues and restaurant recommendations
  • Delivering seamless and memorable Crowne Plaza Canberra experience as part of the Front Office team

  • Extra language skills beyond the local language are desirable
  • Previous experience in guest service roles is not specified as a requirement, but any related hospitality experience could be considered desirable
