- Knowledge generally acquired through a high school education or GED.
- Current Basic Life Support/Healthcare Provider status according to American Heart Association standards; new hires and transfers may obtain certification within six months and must remain continually current.
- Use the Picture Archiving and Communication System to transmit and print or burn CDs of patient imaging studies.
- Transport and assist patients, including lifting and moving them onto and off procedural surfaces and preparing them for procedures.
- Assist technologists with the Picture Archiving and Communication System, room cleaning, and patient preparation.
- Transport patients by wheelchair, stretcher, or assisted walking.
- Register and preregister patients for procedures and exams and pre-log patients.
- Enter exams and patient data into the computer system.
- Review next-day orders and verify that each order corresponds to the scheduled exam.
- Greet, identify, and confirm exams with patients.
- Confirm patient appointments and schedule patient exams as needed.
- Answer telephone calls promptly and courteously, using a provided script when applicable.
- Digitize films and send images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System.
- File X-ray jackets and print or burn CDs for patient imaging studies.
- Assist physicians with viewing images on the Picture Archiving and Communication System.
- Record subpoenas and legal documentation for the Radiology Department.
- Prepare the current day's schedule.
- Prepare patient charts for interventional procedures and provide required consents and questionnaires.
- Scan signed physician orders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- One to two years of recent experience.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.

Memorial Healthcare System has appointed Dr LaKeeya Tucker as Chief Medical Officer for Memorial Hospital Miramar and Memorial Hospital Pembroke, effective 2 March 2026. In her role, Dr Tucker will partner with clinical and operational leaders to support quality outcomes, advance patient safety initiatives and strengthen medical staff engagement. Dr Tucker is a board-certified obstetrician and gynaecologist with over 23 years of clinical and executive leadership experience. She previously served as Chief of Staff at University of Michigan Health Sparrow Lansing from 2020 to 2022 and chaired the Quality & Patient Safety Committee for the University of Michigan Health Regional Hospitals Boards. She is also a Certified Physician Executive through the American Association for Physician Leadership.
