Brooks Internship Program:
Brooks Running hosts summer internships at our Seattle HQ offices to provide hands-on, meaningful work experience to further enhance your education and professional aptitude. Our interns gain exposure to real work, and projects while working side by side with Brooks employees and leadership. If chosen for this role, you will join a cohort of interns at Brooks and embark on a summer of learning, professional development, and exposure to the Brooks brand and culture.
Internship Details:
Duration: 3 months
Dates: June - August/September 2023
Location: Seattle, HQ
Schedule: 40 hours / week
This Opportunity:
Our Market Supply Planning team is seeking a Supply Planning intern to work at our Seattle, HQ offices.
By joining the team you will get a chance to better understand how products move through the supply chain. Every day Market Supply Planning team strive to provide the best service to the Runner as they sit at the heart of the Brooks supply chain.
They play a critical role in ensuring that we have the right product in the right place at the right time by translating the demand plan to a supply plan and working closely with manufacturing partners to procure materials and produce and deliver finished goods to the markets that we operate in all around the globe.
In this internship you will have the opportunity to learn more about supply planning and support the team with projects such as assessing our safety stock and inventory policy frameworks and evaluating how well they deliver against our target service model, and exploring opportunities for inventory segmentation strategies within an expanded distribution network to better optimize our inventory levels without sacrificing our service.
Your Impact (Responsibilities):
- Build and develop Analysis on Supply plan
- Run Analysis on Inventory and service
- Attend a full monthly supply planning process and bring recommendation on what to improve
Project:
- As a part of your experience as an intern at Brooks, you will have the opportunity to complete a project under the support and supervision of your manager. Details of your project will be finalized once you arrive at Brooks based on your interests, and the needs of the business. You will present your work and findings to leadership at Brooks at the end of your internship, to hone in on your research, recommendation, and presentation skills.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in supply chain or a related field.
- Willing to commit to the intern position for three months onsite in Seattle, WA
- Willingness to learn and gain hands-on experience
- Able to commit to up to 40 hours a week to be physically present at HQ
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating effective listening through concise, clear verbal and written communication.
- Well-developed quantitative skills with an aptitude for report-building, data mining, and interpretation
- Strong computer skills, including proven mastery of Microsoft office suite
- Tableau experience is a plus
- Strong organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.
- Must be able to collaborate in a team-oriented environment.
