Project Purchasing Coordinator

Roberts Design is seeking a Project / Purchasing Coordinator to join our growing team of professionals at the largest equestrian complex in the United States. 

You will be working as a team member providing support for product procurement for large custom homes up to 25,000 sq. ft., five-star hotels, luxury retail spaces, and restaurants. You will be asked to manage projects and collaborate with internal and external teams and partners to ensure design integrity and satisfaction of our new 400 room hotel.

GENERAL SCOPE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Obtain quotations from vendors and assist with updating budgets, assist with bid analysis
• Issuing purchase orders, monitoring status of orders and resolving issues with suppliers
• Create and assemble request for quotes and purchase orders
• Compile project budgets for internal review
• Track vendor status updates
• Coordination with vendors, freight managers, clients, and warehouses
• Assist with project close-out

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• A professional, results-oriented person with creative problem-solving skills
• Proficient computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft products; must have experience with Excel spreadsheets, Quick Books. Oracle knowledge is a plus, but not required
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Able to effectively coordinate a number of projects simultaneously
• Ability to work as a team member
• Purchasing experience required
• Previous experience in purchasing or hotel/restaurant operations role is a plus, but not required
