Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in graphic design, human-computer interaction, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of professional UX experience with a strong portfolio of user-centered projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of user research methods, information architecture, interaction design, and visual design principles.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex design ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Experience with prototyping and design software such as Figma or equivalent.
  • Experience in balancing user experience with business needs and technical feasibility.
  • A curious, flexible, can-do attitude and empathetic mindset.
  • Agile professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and thrives on continuously pivoting strategies to drive business needs forward.
Responsibilities
  • Define and conduct customer and user research and testing, establish feedback loops with stakeholders and customers, and incorporate customer feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings into all work.
  • Ask smart questions to deeply understand business and user problems. Apply critical thinking and logic to make well-reasoned design decisions, and confidently take action while remaining open to feedback and iteration.
  • Determine the user architecture of digital products to quickly design and create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to test on real users.
  • Create user-centered designs by understanding business requirements, the voice of the customer, user journeys, customer feedback, and usability findings.
  • Overseeing all deliverables produced by the UX team, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Providing feedback, coaching, and mentoring for other members of the UX team to support their continued development and growth.
  • Communicate with product and engineering teams during the implementation process to create products that wow our end users.
  • Ideating, conceptualizing, and creating wireframes, designs, and other user experience artifacts for all new product and data initiatives.
  • Creating assets for product marketing, including customer-facing collateral and website designs and components to promote our products and services.
  • Define standards and maintain overall design system documentation for the TechnologyAdvice platform.
Desired Qualifications
  • Familiarity with the publishing industry, Content Management Systems (CMS), cross-device and responsive design best practices, web accessibility standards (WCAG) and best practices is preferred.
  • Experience with Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) techniques and knowledge of branding, color theory, and typography is preferred.
