Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 0 years of related work experience is required.
  • Ability to work rotating schedules, including on-call, overnight, and weekend shifts, and arrive within 45 minutes when on call.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently, and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and use fine motor skills for extended periods.
  • Corrected visual acuity, color vision, mobility, and dexterity to identify and correct small inconsistencies in equipment or documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, manage, and maintain surgical equipment and disposable products so they are available, functional, and ready before each procedure.
  • Support operating-room teams during procedures by anticipating device needs and providing timely equipment adjustments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve routine and complex equipment issues using independent judgment.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, operating-room personnel, central processing, biomedical staff, and other clinical partners.
  • Maintain accurate procedure information, equipment usage records, monthly performance metrics, and account updates.
  • Complete ongoing training and maintain working knowledge of Stryker equipment, disposable products, and new technologies.
  • Educate clinical staff on product use.
  • Provide flexible coverage through rotating schedules, on-call, overnight, and weekend shifts, and support other accounts within and outside the region.
  • Set up Stryker towers, booms, lights, and integrated suite systems according to surgeon preference.
  • Confirm equipment functionality and image routing before each procedure.
  • Adjust camera, monitor, and device settings intraoperatively.
  • Provide immediate troubleshooting of endoscopy and integration systems.
  • Manage post-procedure breakdown and staging of Stryker equipment.
  • Clean and disinfect towers and components, restock consumables, and perform basic maintenance.
  • Educate operating-room and sterile-processing staff on proper use and troubleshooting of Stryker products.
  • Support video conferencing, DICOM transfers, and electronic medical record connectivity where applicable.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's or associate's degree, or equivalent certifications, is preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in customer service, technical assistance, clinical support, sterile workflow operations, or operating-room environments is preferred.
  • HSPA/CRCST certification is preferred; certification is required within six months for sterile-processing roles and must be renewed annually.

Stryker completes first hip surgery using FDA-authorized Apple Vision Pro app SportSuite Vision

Stryker has completed the first surgical procedure using its FDA-authorized SportSuite Vision application on Apple Vision Pro at Duke Health. The hip arthroscopy was performed by orthopaedic surgeon Dr Chad Mather III at the academic medical centre. SportSuite Vision received FDA De Novo authorization on 17 July, making it the first application approved for intraoperative use with Apple Vision Pro. The technology allows surgeons to view arthroscopic video, HipCheck, HipMap and CT imaging within their field of vision during procedures. The spatial computing application aims to reduce reliance on traditional monitors positioned throughout operating rooms. By bringing multiple data sources into the surgeon's field of view, it supports a more streamlined and ergonomic surgical workflow during complex arthroscopic procedures.

Stryker to acquire ZuriMED's rotator cuff augmentation technology for shoulder portfolio

Stryker has signed a definitive agreement to acquire ZuriMED, a privately held developer of the FiberLocker System for rotator cuff repair. The commercialised soft tissue augmentation technology is designed to provide increased biomechanical strength and reduce clinical failure in rotator cuff procedures. According to Stryker, the acquisition will strengthen its shoulder portfolio and expand support for shoulder specialists across sports medicine and arthroplasty. Rotator cuff augmentation is described as one of the fastest-growing areas in sports medicine and a significant opportunity in shoulder care. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions. Stryker and ZuriMED will operate as separate entities until closing is complete.
