Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience with focus on credit trading, including IG, HY, loans, single name CDS and Indices.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, in a related field preferred (e.g.: Financial, Economics, Mathematical or other); Master’s degree would be an asset.
  • Good understanding of Fundamental strategies, Global Macro and Relative Value trading. Familiarity with systemic/model-driven strategies would be an asset.
  • Proficiency in trading tools (e.g., Bloomberg, MarketAxess, Tradeweb, Liquidnet, Trumid, CharlesRiver).
  • Ability to work under pressure and to handle multiple priorities while remaining detail oriented.
  • Good experience in data analytics to participate in pre- and post-trades analysis projects and improve cost analysis.
  • Demonstrate active listening, a proactive attitude and the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong ethics, regard for compliance and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Become a market expert in a broad array of products, such as corporate bonds (IG/HY/EM) and loans, CLOs, single name CDS and indices, options, tranches, and TRS.
  • Transact orders based on market analysis and knowledge of market conditions.
  • Collaborate with the portfolio managers throughout the investment process, providing information on market flows.
  • Search for sources of liquidity and manage access to markets to minimize execution costs.
  • Support improvements in trading processes and new strategies.
  • Maintain strong and professional broker/dealer relationships to ensure adequate coverage of all relevant markets.
  • Work closely with the Trading and Research Analytics team to contribute and improve the pre/post-trades analytics work, such as dealer selection, liquidity score, TCA.
  • Perform Technology intelligence in exploring, testing and recommending any venues and vendors that might be helpful within the Credit space.
  • Assist in the development of policies/procedures designed to ensure compliance with all industry/regulatory requirements.
  • Partner and communicate with the broader team and departments to ensure appropriate parties are kept informed and engaged on transactions or initiatives.
  • Build close working relationships IT, Operations, Legal/Compliance and Risk staff to ensure appropriate resolution of all issues related to the Credit business.
