Description:

The Vehicle System Test Engineer ensures the elicitation of the Vehicle requirements/KPI’s, the test coverage of the System requirements and quality of test cases along with the System Test Plan. He/she specifies the System test. following the vehicle test strategy. He/she reports to the System Test Lead

Responsibilities:

Analyze Low Frequency (LF) and High Frequency (HF) radio transmissions between the key fob and vehicle.
Inspect the CAN and LIN signals from Radio Frequency Hub Module (RHFM) and antennae.
Determines the LF/RF signal leakage and implement the thresholds by tuning the vehicle
Trace analysis regular use of CAN and LIN interface tools such, Canoe, Canalyzer
Ensures executability of the System test along with the project plan.
Develop Systems Test Specification, with traceability from systems test cases to the unique systems.
requirements to ensure full test coverage of all the system interfaces and stakeholder requirements. Supports the distribution of the System Test Environment
Support vehicle integration with OEM teams to integrate active safety sensors including ultrasonic sensors and cameras.
Aligns the System test specification with the Function Manager
Approves the execution of the System Test cases.
Prepares the System Test Report
Supports the closing of the System test activities.
Performs and participates in peer document (e.g., test plan, test specifications) reviews.
In case of deviations, escalates to the System Test Lead and provides adequate information and proposals for decision making.
Executes vehicle level testing to cover requirements attributed as such.
Performs smoke test, Regression test, and full validation on vehicle level.
Execute test drives to validate end user ADAS features.
Reports issues found via defect management tools (Jira, CorAlm…).
Perform DVP&R according to customer requirements.
Innovation and development of alternative test solutions to existing strategy
Good knowledge of embedded software and system
Experience in system engineering and testing (requirements analysis/test case writing methodology, traceability concept, test case execution, automation, reporting)
Knowledge of process models (e.g. Automotive SPICE

Education;

Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering discipline

Professional Experience:

Desired

Minimum 1-3 year relevant experience in system test/design in multifunctional environment
Some automotive industry experience is an advantage
Knowledge in automotive development and application of active safety features is a plus Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Good problem solving and critical thinking skills to understand new challenges and new technologies
Confident, articulate, self-motivated, determined & energetic. Must be able to engage with customers and build strong relationships.
Vehicle test experience
Valid driver license license is required
Experience in Vector CANoe an advantage. Team player.

Preferred

Knowledge in Passive Entry and Passive start (PePs) system
Familiarity with generic LF/RF protocol
Knowledge in Remote Keyless entry (RKE) and walkaway locking system (WAL)
CAN communication protocol knowledge (CANoe, CANalyzer)
Capl script knowledge
Knowledge of DAS/ADAS
DFMEA knowledge
Familiarity with ultrasonic / camera based systems will be considered a plus (object sensing technology)
ASPICE, ISO26262 and Cyber Security training are an advantage.
