Job Summary:

In your pivotal role as IT Speciallist, you will perform work associated with analysis, design, implementation, operation, deployment, and support of the organization’s information technology resources (including computer hardware, operating systems, communications, software applications, data processing and security), and software/database products by internal staff, outsourcing staff, outside vendors or consultants. Activities include implementing/supporting information technology strategies, polices and plans; maintenance and use of information technology resources; training and supporting technology users; operations and site acquisition; developing PC, online; and internet product management & operations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) (Required)
• 5 years relevant experience (Required)
• Experience in Microsoft Power Automate, low code programming, Microsoft 365, Axis Camera Software, Axis and/or PTZ Camera Software, Power BI, FileMaker (Recommended)
• Competence in a programming language: Java, C, C++, Python, JavaScript (Recommended)
• Experience with Windows, iOS, macOS (Required)
• Experience in building computers/audio-video platforms (Required)

Recognizing the cogent evidence of simulation’s effectiveness in skills development and knowledge reinforcement, the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine established the Center for Experiential Learning and Assessment (CELA), making its curricula an essential component of every medical student’s training.

CELA consists of three interrelated domains: human simulation using standardized patients, technical simulation utilizing state-of-the-art mannequins, and experiential training using human cadavers.  CELA strives for growth, balance and integration into students’ clinical experiences with live patients, achieving this by preserving the highest degree of realism within carefully scripted encounters, dynamic scenarios, and progressively complex anatomical lessons. 

CELA optimizes the benefits of simulation by means of multiple layers of thoughtful feedback and assessment, with a view towards enhancing professional communication skills and the mitigation of human error in the delivery of patient care.  This, in turn, lends to programmatic refinements and further exploitation of simulation’s value. Beyond the initial training of medical professionals, CELA provides a context and setting for research, testing and validating innovation in medical procedures and technologies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Designs, develops, implements and oversees information technology (IT) solutions including hardware and software.
• Implements short- and long-term IT solutions that meet the needs of the organization. Installs, configures, administers, upgrades and maintains security for IT hardware, software and network infrastructure.
• Support and provide input for information technology strategies, polices and plans, maintenance and use of information technology resources.
• Support Customer requests for new equipment installations and departmental moves
