Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year demonstrated success within the Carrier Sales profession
  • Bilingual skills with fluency in Spanish and English are a must (must be able to speak, read and write both languages)
  • Ability to sell cross-functionally throughout all levels of an organization
  • Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills
  • Strong carrier relations ability with analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and alongside team members in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Suite, along with basic knowledge and understanding of PC applications. Data entry skills and experience required
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and prioritization skills to meet customer/company deadlines
Responsibilities
  • Prospecting, solicitation, and procurement of key carriers across multiple levels, modes, and geographical regions that are primarily based in the southern region of the US on US/Mexico border
  • Qualify and negotiate with carriers to support existing and obtain new business and strategically align your portfolio of carriers with our customer’s freight
  • Build strong relationships with carriers' key representatives including dispatchers, management, drivers and other operational personnel
  • Identify areas of improvement/operational inefficiencies with carriers and provide/execute problem solving action plans
  • Manage daily lane/region operations with key carriers
  • Become the subject matter expert (SME) for cross-border Mexico lanes and regions relating to carrier operations, pricing, current and future capacity
