  • Ten or more years of engineering experience, preferably in the aerospace industry, with emphasis on aircraft repair, OEM applicable technical data and regulatory requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical or engineering field.
  • Previous experience in leading, directing and controlling a team, process and project in the engineering field.
  • Exposure to and a demonstrated ability to challenge traditional methods of accomplishing tasks and work activities while creating and implementing creative and innovative solutions.
  • Experienced leader with the ability to coach and influence others across all levels of the organization.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the safety and well-being of the team in accordance with the company standards. Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to ensure full compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
  • Provide direct managerial oversight of Process Engineers.
  • Lead, coach and develop the team of engineers assigned.
  • Coordinate, plan and direct all activities of the repair process and department assigned that may contribute to the repair of the turbine engine component.
  • Oversee process development and improvement and establish guidelines and expectations for team members.
  • Ensure that the repair processes, and designs of tooling and fixtures meet requirements and are engineered correctly and efficiently.
  • Confirm that all engineering documentation complies with approved technical data, regulations and/or customer requirements and are current to the latest revisions. This includes manufacturers overhaul manuals, service bulletins, part specifications, standard practice manuals, FAA AD’s, and other FAA approved data.
  • Own technical evaluation and justification for tooling & equipment upgrades, capacity expansions and automation.
  • Establish daily, weekly, and monthly objectives and communicate the plan to your team.
  • Monitor assigned work while reviewing completed jobs/projects to ensure adherence to work scope and company expectations.
  • Perform functions, such as performance reviews, employee development, accountability of team members, conflict resolution, and disciplinary action.
  • Identify and implement personal development plans for the team and identify succession planning requirements.
