Requirements
  • An associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field is required.
  • Proven experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and coordination, preferably in a food manufacturing environment, is required.
  • Proficiency in computerized maintenance management software (CMMS), enterprise asset management (EAM) systems, and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance principles, practices, and techniques, including preventive maintenance, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), and predictive maintenance technologies, is required.
  • The candidate must be able to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • The candidate must have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • The candidate must have effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) principles is required.
  • The candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team to achieve maintenance objectives and support production goals.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Manager, maintenance supervisors, and production teams to develop and maintain a comprehensive maintenance schedule that minimizes disruption to production operations.
  • Use computerized maintenance management software (CMMS) to create and prioritize work orders, schedule preventive maintenance tasks, and track equipment history, downtime, and maintenance costs.
  • Plan and organize preventive maintenance activities, including equipment inspections, lubrication, calibration, and parts replacement, to maintain equipment reliability and prolong asset life.
  • Coordinate with maintenance technicians and external vendors to schedule and execute repairs, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance activities in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.
  • Monitor spare parts inventory levels, identify critical spare parts, and procure parts and materials necessary for maintenance activities.
  • Develop and maintain equipment maintenance plans, job plans, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to guide maintenance activities and ensure consistency and compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of equipment and facilities to identify maintenance needs, reliability issues, and opportunities for improvement, and develop action plans to address findings.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to maintenance technicians and other departments on maintenance-related issues, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis of equipment failures.
  • Analyze maintenance data and performance metrics to identify trends, patterns, and optimization opportunities, and recommend and implement process improvements to enhance maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with procurement, engineering, and other departments to identify and implement equipment upgrades, modifications, and enhancements to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and performance.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Certification in maintenance planning or a related field, such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional or Certified Maintenance Planner, is preferred.
