Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent from four-year college in business, supply chain, logistics, or a related field
  • 10 years of experience in a warehousing/distribution field in progressively senior positions
  • Operations experience is an asset
  • Five plus years with previous management experience in a high-volume distribution center operation
  • Experience with LEAN methodology and Continuous Improvement
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Computer Skills: knowledge of MS Word software and MS Excel spreadsheet software
Responsibilities
  • Leads by example, communicates information through regular Daily Direction Setting Team Meetings with employees and team leaders
  • Ensures that organizational and process changes are embraced and sustained through team updates and training throughout departmental leadership aligned with new Operational Strategies and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Direct, coordinate, and control inbound freight, warehouse service levels and storage materials
  • In partnership with HR Business Partner, determines performance expectations, evaluates performance, and provides coaching and opportunities for associate career path development
  • Addresses employee issues in a timely manner
  • Ensures that all performance evaluations for material handlers, equipment operators and team leadership are completed in a timely manner
  • Own inbound receipts and outbound production planning and site scheduling processes to all Distribution Centers
  • Development of inventory management processes in line with network inventory models and lead the development of robust inventory supply to other regions
  • Partner with Regional Supply Chain Leadership on the development and deployment of inventory planning
  • Ensure Operations and Supply Chain capability is in place to support new product process flow to DC’s
  • Work with Operations and Supply Chain Leaders to develop annual and strategic Business Plan consistent with the Divisional Business plan, marketing strategies, new technology and capital expenditures
  • Responsible for the oversight and coordination of production planning and inventory supply management
  • Defines and tracks capacity performance, Product Cycle Time Reduction
  • Defines and tracks supply performance, including fulfillment to schedule, Service and Inventory Performance and Compliance to Supply Strategies
  • Development of key business rules as well as metrics to show performance/impact
  • Partner with the responsible parties to measure KPI’s and utilize these key metrics to establish inventory accuracy internal and shipped to external locations to meet a seamless transfer process
  • Establish framework and deploy effective Supply Chain Review to inform Leadership of the latest operational supply outlook and identify key opportunities for Leadership influence to effect outcomes
  • Provide leadership for employee populations in non-exempt positions and direct reports in exempt positions that both maximize and optimize resources in support of the company’s goals and objectives in serving customers
  • Design and implement staffing strategies to ensure work force is flexible and can respond to variations in work flow
  • Effectively lead and develop the Process Managers and employees utilizing performance management tools to enhance performance and achieve individual as well as company goals
  • Ensure that the performance goals are set and achieved, through the proper execution of performance metrics as it relates to Productivity, Safety, Quality and Customer Service
  • Ensure productivity, safety, and quality goals are achieved through a process of continuous process improvement
  • Work closely with employees to communicate and educate on work instructions, policies, procedures and process improvement initiative
  • Ensure standardization and sharing of best-demonstrated practices with Operations, Distribution Center and as appropriate across the Distribution Centers
  • Ensure the company’s physical assets (building, equipment, inventory, etc.) are properly controlled, maintained, protected and utilized
  • Utilize process improvements to continually improve operational efficiencies
  • Partner with Risk Management to ensure compliance with Company, OSHA, DOT, and EPA regulations and power industrial equipment requirements
  • Requires occasional travel to other DC’s, corporate offices, and field locations
  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays

Affirm’S Lending Capacity Gets Boost From Sixth Street Investment

Payment network Affirm and global investment firm Sixth Street have formed a long-term capital partnership in which Sixth Street will invest up to $4 billion by purchasing Affirm loans in a three-year forward flow agreement. This capital commitment will enable Affirm to extend up to $20 billion in loans over the next three years, the companies said in a Friday (Dec. 13) press release. Bnpl Provider Affirm Adds 8 Merchant Partnerships

Affirm has partnered with eight more merchants to help their shoppers use flexible pay-over-time options.Consumers in the United States can now select Affirm as a payment option at checkout at Agape Diamonds, Discount Tire, Ever/body, FullBeauty, Garmin, Hotels.com, Living Spaces and Sweetwater, the buy now, pay later (BNPL) provider said in a Tuesday (Dec. 3) press release.Affirm’s global network has grown by 20% year over year to include more than 320,000 merchant partners, according to the release.In addition, the Affirm Card, the Affirm App and top digital wallets allow consumers to access Affirm’s flexible payment options anywhere they shop, the release said.After going through a quick eligibility check at checkout, consumers who are approved can choose a customized biweekly or monthly payment plan, including a 0% APR option available on eligible purchases, per the release.Vishal Kapoor, senior vice president of product at Affirm, attributed the growing adoption of Affirm’s payment options to “clear terms, lack of hidden fees and lack of late charges.”“With the growing demand for smarter, more transparent payment options, these new merchant partnerships are a direct response — arriving just in time for the holiday shopping season,” Kapoor said in the release.During this year’s edition of the traditional start of the holiday shopping season, Black Friday (Nov. 29), BNPL purchases accounted for 10.1% of online transactions and 7.4% of in-store transactions, according to the PYMNTS Intelligence report, “Sales, Not Sentiment, Drives Black Friday Turnout.”Heading into the holiday shopping season, Affirm saw merchants showing strong interest in 0% promotions, Affirm CEO Max Levchin said Nov. 7 during the company’s quarterly earnings call.“We’re firing on all cylinders, and we’re getting ready for a really good holiday season,” Levchin said.Affirm accounts for a third of the volume and more than half of the revenue in the U.S. pay later space, the company reported at the time.In October, Affirm upgraded its app to provide users with easier access to personalized payment terms and interest-free offers. The company said at the time that consumers think 0% APR financing options are just as valuable as, if not more valuable than, traditional discounts
