Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • At least 10 years of combined experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Experience in operational planning and Global Force Management (GFM).
  • Proficient at authoring analytical and/or policy documents.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in order to provide information and operations support.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
  • Must have an active Top-Secret clearance and be SCI eligible. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee the development and execution of the GFM process within the command, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational requirements
  • Coordinate with military commands, DoD agencies, and international partners to develop and execute GFM plans, including force deployments, movements, and sustainment
  • Leverage the Global Force Management Application (GFMAP) to efficiently execute GFM functions
  • Utilize the Global Force Management Integrated Graph (GFMIG) to assist in planning and decision-making for GFM operations
  • Analyze and assess force capabilities, shortfalls, and gaps, and recommend solutions to optimize force posture and readiness
  • Lead the development of risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and contingency plans to support GFM operations
  • Work closely with operational planners, intelligence, and other stakeholders to ensure GFM plans are informed and supported by relevant information and analysis
  • Conduct regular assessments of the GFM process to ensure effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance with DoD policies and procedures
  • Manage the GFM budget and develop cost estimates to support force planning and decision-making
  • Provide regular updates and briefings to senior military leaders and stakeholders on the status of GFM operations and activities
  • Represent the command in forums and meetings related to GFM, providing expertise and advice to other commands and DoD agencies.
