Requirements
  • B2B experience: at least 2 years of full sales cycle B2B experience (inside phone sales strongly preferred)
  • Analytical mindset: strong skills in identifying trends, understanding challenges, and proposing data-backed solutions
  • Persuasive communication: confidence and enthusiasm when presenting to decision-makers, backed by excellent verbal and written skills
  • Problem-solving prowess: proven ability to deliver client-focused solutions and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving, and competitive environment
  • Organizational mastery: ability to work independently and manage a structured 40-hour work week effectively
  • Tech savvy: experience with Salesforce.com or another customer relationship management system; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred

Responsibilities
  • Execute High-Volume Outreach: Drive daily activity expectations through consistent, high-volume sales calls to identify and engage decision-makers
  • Manage Complex Pipelines: Successfully navigate a diverse and longer sales process from initial prospect identification to close
  • Consultative Value Building: Build and maintain strong phone rapport to uncover prospect needs and deliver crisp, on-point presentations that highlight our platforms' return on investment
  • Drive Revenue: Consistently meet and exceed monthly revenue quotas by closing new business deals
  • Persistence & Negotiation: Proactively follow up with potential clients to negotiate contracts and maximize profit margins
  • Strategic Time Management: Organize your workday efficiently, ensuring all interactions and opportunities are meticulously tracked and updated in Salesforce
  • Team Collaboration: Work independently to hit personal targets while remaining a collaborative contributor to the broader team’s success

The Knot has appointed Michael Pickrum as its new chief financial officer. Pickrum brings experience from a 17-year tenure at Viacom's BET, where he served as CFO and COO, as well as stints at startups and Ryan Reynolds's advertising firm. In his new role, Pickrum is emphasising AI integration whilst maintaining his established leadership framework. He believes finance teams must be technically strong, operationally excellent, deeply collaborative and capable of delivering insights that support better decision-making across the organisation. The appointment comes as The Knot looks to modernise its operations through artificial intelligence implementation.

It was the very first event I planned when I joined the company four years ago. Watching it evolve and grow over the years has been an incredible source of pride. This year, I had the privilege of volunteering in Washington, D.C., alongside teammates and local organizations making a real impact. Together, The Knot Worldwide Inc. partnered with the Ronald McDonald House to assemble breakfast and laundry care kits - small but meaningful efforts to support families during their hospital stays. It was inspiring to see its core values - Be All In, Commit to Its Users, Raise the Bar, and Celebrate Impact - come to life in such a tangible way. Technology leader with more than 20 years of experience will help drive TKWW's ongoing evolution as a global tech platform for celebrations NEW YORK, NY, October 9, 2025 - The Knot Worldwide, a leading global marketplace and family of brands championing celebration, today announced the appointment of John James as Chief Technology Officer. In this newly scoped role, James will oversee The Knot Worldwide's (TKWW) technology team with a focus on further innovating the platform, strengthening technical and product leadership, and delivering exceptional experiences for couples, families, and small businesses. James' expertise and leadership will play a pivotal role in TKWW's ongoing evolution as a global tech platform powering celebrations. He is based in Austin, TX, and reports to TKWW CEO Raina Moskowitz. James brings more than 20 years of technology leadership to TKWW, with deep expertise and experience in enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS), marketplace tech, ecommerce, supply chain, and fintech. Prior to joining TKWW, James led the technology team at Ouro, where he oversaw all technology operations and supported growth of the company's flagship product to more than 200 million active accounts. Before this, he spent more than a decade at Expedia Group, leading global distribution and supply technology functions across multiple lines of business. As part of this, he oversaw massive-scale operations - handling 100,000 pricing requests every second, resulting in 1.8 million pricing decisions per second. James began his career as an engineer, holding leadership positions at HomeAway and E2open. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering (Honors) from Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane.
