Northrop Grumman Space Systems is hiring a Computer Support Technician 2 to work in Linthicum, MD. This individual will support the design, development, and integration of mixed operating system (Linux, Windows) development laboratories for the Remote Sensing Programs (RSP) Business Unit in Linthicum, MD.

Responsibilities include:

The selected individual will support the RSP Space Development Lab Network, assisting in the administration, maintenance, and compliance of the network. These duties will include:

• Support of network topology, inventory, and configuration

• Define and implement upgrades to the IT environment

• Performing new server builds

• Scripting to optimize IT environment

• Level 2 support for system configuration, setup, and requested baseline configuration changes

• Assisting in the resolution of computer problems beyond the knowledge of engineering staff.

Qualified candidates must demonstrate a blend of technical skills and excellent communication abilities.

Basic Qualifications:

• Computer Support 2: Two years of experience with a High School Diploma

• No Clearance required to start, but must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance to meet business needs

• U.S. Citizenship is required

• Experience with Windows and Linux

• Experience with debugging Information Technology problems and resolving them

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI clearance

• Experience with software development labs, software/hardware integration

• Bash/Python script writing experience

• ESXi and VMWare experience

• Experience with networks and networking equipment

• Familiarity with NIST 800-171 network compliance

• Active COMPTIA Security + Certification

• CISSP certification, RedHat certification(s)

Salary Range: $47,600.00 - $79,400.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
