  • 12+ years of experience in high-speed optoelectronics and ASIC design, with a proven track record of successful product development and deployment.
  • Extensive experience with high-speed circuit design, including RF, analog, and mixed-signal circuits.
  • Strong understanding of optical components such as lasers, photodetectors, modulators.
  • Excellent knowledge of photonics / electronics high speed interfaces and ICs for photonics (TIA, Drivers, DSP).
  • Strong understanding of high speed electrical and optical systems and software.
  • Experience with data communication protocols (Ethernet, PCIe, etc).
  • Experience engaging with various optical and electrical standards (UCIe, Ethernet).
  • Strong understanding of high speed SerDes technology.
  • Excellent understanding of different modulation formats such as PAM4, Coherent.
  • Excellent written, presentation, and communication skills.
  • MS, PhD, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, or related field.
Responsibilities
  • Owns company wide DSP, RFIC, and ASIC strategy.
  • Works closely with current ASIC partners to create differentiation for Lumentum products.
  • Drives long term DSP and ASIC engagements for all forward looking products.
  • Leads the architecture, design, and initial product definition for Lumentums’ early-stage product concepts, making the appropriate tradeoffs between technical and business risk.
  • Acts as company authority on communication protocols (ethernet, PCIe) and communication hardware standards (UCIe, BoW, SerDes).
  • Represents Lumentum at various standards and industry leading events.
