What We're Looking For
Candidate MUST be currently pursuing a BS degree in CS/EE or related technical field(s)
1+ years of related course work
Must be curious and driven to learn more about this complicated field
Excellent problem solving skills, with good verbal and written communication skills in English
You can explain why as well as how you solved a problem
Strong Programming skills in C and Python, with knowledge of git, linux, makefiles, gdb, IDEs, and bash a plus
Strong understanding of the software development flow, from issue tracking (Jira), SCM (gitlab), design & code reviews (also gitlab), continuous integration (Jenkins), and regression testing
Understanding the fundamentals of computer and processor architecture
Basic understanding of how a processor interacts with memories and peripherals
Understanding of fundamental networking from the OSI model, with emphasis on the PHY up to the data link level
Experience working on MCU embedded processors environments is a plus

(NASDAQ: MRVL), a leader in data infrastructure semiconductor solutions, today announced in collaboration with TeraHop, a global optical solutions provider for AI driven data centers, the demonstration of the industry’s first end-to-end PCIe Gen 6 over optics in the Marvell booth #2129 at OFC 2025. The demonstration will showcase the extension of PCIe reach beyond traditional electrical limits to enable low-latency, standards-based AI scale-up infrastructure. As AI workloads drive exponential data growth, PCIe connectivity must evolve to support higher bandwidth and longer reach. The Marvell® Alaska® P PCIe Gen 6 retimer and its PCIe Gen 7 SerDes technology enable low-latency, low bit-error-rate transmission over optical fiber, delivering the scalability, power efficiency, and high performance required for next-generation accelerated infrastructure. With PCIe over optics, system designers will be able to take advantage of longer links between devices that feature the low latency of PCIe technology
Marvell is collaborating with industry leaders including Lumentum, TeraHop, and Coherent to develop products based on this technology.
On March 27, Marvell Technology announced, in collaboration with TeraHop, a global optical solutions provider for AI-driven data centers, the demonstration of end-to-end PCIe Gen 6 over optics at the Optical Networking and Communication Conference and Exposition (OFC) 2025.
At OFC 2025, Marvell and TeraHop will showcase the industry's first successful transmission of PCIe Gen 6 signals between the root complex and endpoint over 10 meters of TeraHop OSFP-XD active optical cable, utilising the Alaska P PCIe Gen 6 retimer integrated into a TeraHop-developed PCIe Gen 6 retimed riser card.
