ProSidian Seeks a Civil Structural Analyst - Engineering (DS108) Engagement Team | SCA - Labor Hour Subcontract located Savannah River Site / Aiken, South Carolina supporting a liquid waste contractor (Savannah River Remediation [SRMC]) at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, SC, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy.

Responsibilities and Duties - Civil Structural Analyst - Engineering (DS108)
- Perform advanced structural analyses of various structures to validate their design adequacy for normal operation and accident loading conditions. Advanced structural analytical capabilities include the ability to perform the following: Seismic Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI); dynamic seismic analysis (response spectra and time-history); development of in-structure seismic response spectra, and to evaluate structural responses for tornado winds, missile penetration,precipitation (rain, flood, snow), and explosion (blast/detonation and deflagration).
- Individual at times will be required to travel off site to interface with vendors, fabricators and other Engineering organizations.
- Engineering services will be provided using SRR processes and procedures. Programmatic guidance will be provided by SRR.
Qualifications
Desired Qualifications For Civil Structural Analyst - Engineering (DS108) (DS108) Candidates:
Candidate must demonstrate a minimum of eight (8) years’ experience in the design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities.
Education / Experience Requirements / Qualifications
MS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, or BS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and current registration as a Professional Engineer in either Civil or Structural Engineering.
Skills Required
Candidate must demonstrate a working knowledge of STAAD, ANSYS,ABAQUS, SASSI, DYNA3D or similar computer codes. Candidate must demonstrate a sound working knowledge of National Codes and Standards such as IBC, AISC (ASD, LRFD, & N690), ASCE, ACI (318 & 349). Candidate must have the ability to perform field walk- downs of structural systems.
Additional Information
- A 40 hour work week is scheduled. SRS utilizes various work schedules; including 5/8s (8 hours/day; five days per week), 4/10s (10 hours/day; four days per week), and a 9/80s (9 hours/day, fives days on week A and 4 days on week B). Work week excludes SRR holidays. Each work day has a 30-minute lunch.
