The Team:
The Identity and Access Management team ensures that all user identities across the organization are accurately maintained and managed. We will focus on identity hygiene, ensuring that the organization remains compliant with internal policies and external regulations related to user access.
Responsibilities and Impact:
- Assist in periodically reviewing user accounts, roles, and access permissions.
- Identify orphaned accounts, excessive permissions, and dormant accounts.
- Collaborate with respective departments to validate user roles and access needs.
- Work closely with the IAM team to initiate access review campaigns.
- Document review findings and ensure timely revocation of unnecessary or outdated access.
- Help maintain and update the IAM policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Document identity hygiene best practices and guidelines.
- Generate reports on access anomalies, violations, and overall health of identities.
- Provide insights into areas of improvement and potential risks.
- Assist in streamlining and automating the identity hygiene processes.
- Provide suggestions for tools or methodologies to enhance identity hygiene.
- Work with various stakeholders, including IT, HR, and other business units, to gather requirements and feedback related to identity management.
- Attend IAM team meetings, participate in relevant workshops, and contribute to team discussions.
- Assist in developing training materials related to identity hygiene.
- Participate in awareness campaigns to educate users on the importance of identity hygiene.
Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $20 to $30. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.
This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan.
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
- Fully matriculated undergraduate students with an anticipated graduation date in Fall 2025 or Spring 2026
- Basic understanding of IAM concepts, including user provisioning, de-provisioning, and access review.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation and creative problem-solving skills)
- Intellectual curiosity and desire to learn new things, techniques, and technologies.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience or coursework in cybersecurity or IAM.
- Familiarity with IAM tools or platforms like SailPoint, Okta, or Azure AD Knowledge of regulatory standards related to access management (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX).
