Requirements
  • HS Degree/GED required.
  • Able to perform quality related testing and use quality related measuring tools (micrometer, calipers) is preferred.
  • Previous experience 1+ years as a Quality Assistant is preferred.
  • Proficiency with MS Office.
  • Ability to stand/walk throughout the day, throughout the shop floor, approximately 50% of the day.
Responsibilities
  • Research and gather documents for the Certification of Compliance for customer orders that ship daily.
  • Make modifications to the standard Certificate to accommodate customer requests for additional information.
  • Review pick lists for any special requirements that must be done prior to shipping, such as First Article Inspections and PPAP’s. Gather data and assemble PPAP’s as needed.
  • Prepare paperwork, gather customer drawings, and other documentation that are necessary for inspection personnel to perform the first article inspection process.
  • Retrieve and file work orders, material certification, plating, and torque testing paperwork to meet customer requirements for record retention. Scan documentation for electronic storage and retrieval as well.
  • Keep filing system organized for finding records with ease. Archive older records to maintain file space room in-house.
  • Perform research on past orders when customers request copies of material certifications, Certifications of Compliance, plating, and torque testing.
  • Perform quality related functional testing such as tensile test.
  • May be asked to support other functions as needed, such as Materials Management, follow up on tools, orders.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
