  • 7+ years in Production/Application Support with a proven track record of managing complex systems.
  • Experience in Client Technical Trading Support, with a deep understanding of client needs and trading ecosystems.
  • Experience as a DevOps Engineer, demonstrating a strong aptitude for continuous learning and adopting new technologies.
  • Extensive experience with AWS, GCP, and Linux environments, including system architecture and optimization.
  • Advanced knowledge of Incident Management, Jenkins, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL.
  • Proficient in scripting languages such as Python and Bash, with a strong focus on developing and optimizing automation scripts.
  • Experience with monitoring and automation tools like DataDog, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Strong multitasking and project management abilities, with a proven capacity to lead multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to a diverse audience, including end-users, developers, and senior business stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing comprehensive technical documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while also being a collaborative team player.
  • In-depth understanding or prior experience with trading platform ecosystems is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
  • Ensuring Platform Health: Lead the strategic management and monitoring of multiple production and non-production environments, ensuring system reliability and uninterrupted productivity at scale.
  • Incident Management: Serve as the senior point of contact for complex incident resolution, implementing long-term solutions to minimize disruptions and enhance system resilience.
  • Client Support: Act as a technical advisor, collaborating with high-profile clients to diagnose and resolve sophisticated technical issues, thus elevating their experience with our platform.
  • Innovation and Optimization: Spearhead high-impact projects focused on innovation and optimization, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and coding expertise to enhance system performance and scalability.
  • Collaboration: Engage in cross-functional collaboration with technical teams and leadership, providing expert guidance on issue resolution and supporting strategic projects.
  • Alert Response: Oversee response protocols for system-generated alerts and escalations, conducting in-depth root cause analysis and implementing robust preventive measures.
  • Monitoring Enhancements: Lead the enhancement of monitoring capabilities through the development of custom scripts, and the deployment of tools like Terraform, Prometheus, and Python, with a focus on optimizing platform automation and efficiency.
  • Coding and Automation: Develop and optimize automation scripts to streamline processes, reduce manual intervention, and increase system reliability. Lead initiatives to enhance platform automation, ensuring best practices in code quality and maintainability.
  • On-Call Support: Provide leadership in an on-call rotation, with a proactive approach to routine night and weekend work, ensuring comprehensive system support (less than 5%).
