Job Summary:

We are looking for a Data Analyst / Research Data Specialist with approximately 2-5 years of experience to join our team. This person will be working as a key member of a multifunctional, collaborative team that creates analytical tools and insights for investment and market research.

We are leveraging our deep expertise in financial data to launch innovative solutions into the Financial Services Industry. This role involves working closely with teams in Bangalore, India, Raleigh, NC and in California.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide domain expertise to identify new features/products that can be of use in the investment research space.
• Work with product teams to translate product requirements into analytics problems.
• Build research products/solutions based on alternative data (transaction data) – own delivery of POCs/prototypes to establish feasibility.
• Track performance of specific tickers and correlate to proprietary datasets.
• Work hand-in-hand with Data Science, business analytics and Engineering teams to drive end to end solution delivery for data products in the investment research space.
• Work with sales/product teams to position products in the investment research space and contribute to pre-sales/marketing efforts.
• Work with customer onboarding teams and support teams to respond to customer queries.
• Analyze data product performance on an ongoing basis to identify opportunities for improvement.

Required Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3+ years’ experience in consumer/retail sector and coverage in equity research
• Interest in working with alternative datasets in the field of investment research
• Familiarity with data analytics
• Strong grounding and exposure to US consumer behavior and brand analysis
• Strong analytical and problem solving ability
• Extremely strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Superior presentation (not only PowerPoint) skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• CFA (Level I/Level II) certification would be a big advantage
• Experience in mentoring junior analysts
• Experience with SQL/python

SALARY:

The annual base salary range for this position is $63,000 to $140,000.
