Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or equivalent experience; advanced degree (MS or MBA) a plus.
  • 12+ years of experience in AEC or related professional services with demonstrated discipline-specific leadership.
  • Experience leading complex, multi-discipline projects and providing technical guidance, QA/QC oversight, and mentoring to Designers and engineers (preferred).
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality, coordinated designs and make sound decisions in complex or ambiguous environments.
  • Strong understanding of project delivery, client expectations, documentation standards, coordination requirements, and best practices.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to documentation, standards, QA/QC workflows, and system improvements through GitHub Pull Requests.
  • Strong proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam Studio, Microsoft 365 Suite, Google Workspace, and GitHub.
  • Industry certifications preferred or required by discipline: RCDD (Telecom/ICT) — required; EIT — preferred; PE — preferred; CDT — preferred; PMP — plus.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver complex, multi-discipline projects profitably, within scope, and to TEECOM’s quality standards, producing coordinated and well-documented designs.
  • Evaluate project health, adjust plans, request additional services, and escalate risks early.
  • Make sound decisions in complex or ambiguous situations and reduce rework through disciplined QA/QC oversight.
  • Maintain healthy utilization and financial performance in line with firmwide targets.
  • Document clearly and consistently to reduce rework, prevent misalignment, and help teams move quickly with shared understanding.
  • Improve TEECOM’s system through high-quality documentation and Pull Requests that strengthen standards, templates, tools, and workflows—including documenting client-specific processes and deviations.
  • Earn client trust by defining scope clearly, supporting fee development, and participating effectively in interviews.
  • Actively participate in client relationship development through networking events and conferences, direct outreach to clients and partners, and sharing intel gathered through documented interactions.
  • Mentor Designers and engineers by delegating meaningful work, providing timely feedback, and strengthening their judgment and skills.
  • When assigned as a Mentor, guide your mentee’s development and complete quarterly performance assessments that support continuous growth.
  • Strengthen firmwide learning by developing training materials and sharing best practices across disciplines.
  • Engage in thought leadership—blogs, white papers, presentations, or industry involvement—to elevate TEECOM’s credibility.
  • Seek and act on client feedback to improve performance and reinforce strong relationships.
  • Influence direction by collaborating with Group Leads, Team Leads, and Discipline Leads to resolve complex challenges.
