Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Infrastructure Team Lead as the first leader on our Infrastructure team. In this role, you will oversee the Infrastructure team’s projects and priorities, driving the vision and execution of scalable, secure, and auditable infrastructure solutions. You will report to the VP of Engineering and collaborate closely with the Sr. Director of Engineering, and key stakeholders to ensure our infrastructure supports the organization’s strategic goals and meets the highest standards of compliance and reliability.

Job Responsibilities
- Oversee Projects and Priorities: Lead the Infrastructure team to deliver on project roadmaps and align priorities with business objectives.
- Define and Implement the Infrastructure Vision: Work with senior engineering leadership to develop and execute a strategic vision for the team.
- Build Scalable Infrastructure: Design and implement systems that grow with the business needs. You will be expected to build the infrastructure hands-on 60-80% of your time.
- Ensure Auditability and Compliance: Develop infrastructure that meets security audit and SOC 2 compliance requirements from Day 1.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with the engineering team and other stakeholders to gather requirements and align initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Manage team performance, provide professional development opportunities, and foster a collaborative, high-performing culture.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in infrastructure engineering with a track record of designing secure and scalable systems.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading a team of 3+ engineers.
- Proven hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering with a track record of designing secure and scalable systems.
- Strong understanding of networking (BYO IP procedures and management, ASN etc.)
- Proven hands-on experience standing up and managing Kubernetes clusters at scale.
- Proven hands-on experience managing infrastructure in major clouds like AWS, GCP etc.
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation) and experience automating manual processes.
- Proven hands-on experience managing CI/CD pipelines (Github Actions, CircleCI etc.).
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute on competing demands.
- Deep understanding of compliance frameworks like SOC 2 and best practices for infrastructure auditability.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Passion for team development and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
- This role may require occasional domestic and international travel. All standard travel expenses will be covered in accordance with the company’s travel reimbursement policy.
- Preference will be given to candidate having prior experience managing FedRAMP compliant infrastructure
