  • Possess valid state life sales licenses.
  • Be able to take and pass LUTC or CLU coursework.
  • Maintain the life and health licenses required to sell products.
  • Possess a valid state driver's license.
  • Qualify for, obtain, and maintain all applicable state licenses and appointments required for selling or servicing Auto Club Group membership products.
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Have a minimum of two years of experience with a proven record of successfully soliciting and selling life insurance products.
  • Have experience selling intangible products.
  • Demonstrate strong working knowledge of life insurance and annuity products and services.
  • Listen to and analyze customer needs, make recommendations that fit customer needs, and promote a positive member experience.
  • Effectively communicate complex information to prospective clients in a clear manner.
  • Prepare proposals and conduct closing interviews to sell life and annuity products.
  • Assess and reflect customer insurance requirements consistently with company standards when writing policies.
  • Perform mathematical calculations to determine premiums and values of life insurance and financial products.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Prospect and develop new sales opportunities and meet production requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with all team members to attain business goals.
  • Use strong communication skills with branch partners and management to keep them informed on sales and the disposition of partner-generated leads.
  • Understand and articulate to customers the tax and legal impacts of the products on members.
  • Demonstrate strong organization, planning, time management, and administrative skills.
  • Represent Auto Club Life in a professional and positive manner.
  • Safely operate a motor vehicle to travel to various locations for meetings or community events.
  • Use proficient writing skills to compose routine correspondence.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate good personal computer skills, including working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and email.
Responsibilities
  • Solicit and sell life and health insurance and annuity products under minimal supervision, primarily within the assigned branch location.
  • Apply knowledge of product features and marketing and sales techniques to achieve established sales goals.
  • Develop leads and prospects for new accounts through outbound and inbound phone calls, mailings, referrals, networking, websites, seminars, and other marketing activities.
  • Prepare proposals and close sales of life, health, annuity, membership, and financial services products.
  • Complete appropriate applications and forms and follow internal processing procedures so transactions comply with company policies and practices.
  • Work collaboratively with branch colleagues to reach business goals, maximize leads and sales opportunities, and pursue cross-sell opportunities.
  • Assist the underwriting and brokerage departments in satisfying requirements.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and problems and ensure sound sales practices are used.
  • Prepare reports documenting prospecting and sales activities and maintain specified production standards and persistency levels for all required products.
