  • The candidate must be comfortable using AI tools through prompting and experimentation to accelerate design thinking, reduce cycle time, and produce shippable UX quickly.
  • The candidate must be able to define UX hypotheses and evaluate feature adoption using quantitative signals, design experiments, interpret results, and iterate based on data.
  • The candidate must be comfortable partnering with product and engineering to design and interpret UX experiments such as A/B tests and phased rollouts.
  • The candidate must be able to extract insights from usage data to inform design iteration, including actual usage metrics beyond user interviews.
  • The candidate must provide a portfolio demonstrating healthcare or complex enterprise product design, with a portfolio link and preferably case studies.
  • The candidate must have experience designing for clinical workflows, such as EHR interfaces, patient-facing tools, dashboard-heavy products, or similar systems.
  • The candidate must understand accessibility standards, including WCAG, and inclusive design principles.
  • The candidate must be comfortable translating product strategy from a non-designer into screens without prescriptive requirements.
  • The candidate must have strong English communication skills for asynchronous collaboration and producing clear design rationale, user research findings, and design specifications.
Responsibilities
  • Own UI/UX design across the assessment product, care/practice product, and platform layer.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity designs, screens, interactions, and states across Zenara products.
  • Use AI tools and prompting to rapidly explore, iterate, and validate design ideas and accelerate concept generation, variant exploration, and copy iteration.
  • Define UX hypotheses, design and interpret experiments such as A/B tests and phased rollouts, and evaluate feature adoption using quantitative signals.
  • Extract insights from usage data, including adoption rates, completion rates, and drop-off points, to guide design iteration.
  • Maintain and evolve the Zenara design system by defining components, patterns, and design tokens.
  • Conduct user research and usability testing with clinical users, including interviewing psychiatrists, observing workflows, identifying pain points, and validating design decisions.
  • Design interfaces for clinicians, patients, administrators, and other healthcare users based on their workflows and needs.
  • Design accessible WCAG-compliant interfaces and responsive layouts for different devices and screen sizes.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering on sprint deliverables, balance design goals with implementation constraints, and ensure designs are implementable and shipped on time.
  • Design AI-powered interaction patterns such as chat interfaces, AI-generated content displays, recommendations, and automated workflows.
  • Use Zenara products, interview clinical team members, review existing designs, identify usability gaps and inconsistencies, and experiment with AI design tools during the first two weeks.
  • Establish the design system foundation, including core components, color palette, typography, and spacing, and redesign high-priority screens during the first month.
  • Ship the first wave of design improvements, conduct usability testing, run a UX experiment, analyze adoption metrics, and build rapid AI-native design workflows during months two and three.
  • Continuously improve product design using user feedback, usage data, and product evolution; grow the design system and establish design quality standards.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience designing behavioral health or mental health products.
  • Experience designing AI-powered interfaces, including chat, recommendations, and generated content.
  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing with clinical users.
  • Motion design and micro-interaction skills.
