Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required, with combined education and experience accepted as a substitute.
  • At least two years of experience is required, with combined education and experience accepted as a substitute.
  • Experience in admissions and recruitment at an academic or higher education institution is required, including knowledge of transfer credit policies and financial aid programs.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, evaluate, and assess large amounts of physical and digital data is required.
  • Experience or skill in interviewing, counseling, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and decision-making is required.
  • Ability to interpret, analyze, and apply pertinent policies, procedures, regulations, and requirements is required.
  • Strong organizational ability and attention to detail are required.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a contact for prospective and admitted students, informing them about the University and its JD program.
  • Explain the law school admissions process, academic program requirements, and institutional policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of communication strategies for prospective and admitted students, including email marketing, electronic newsletters, and social media outreach.
  • Maintain and update Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram sites under the guidance of the Dean or Director of Admissions.
  • Coordinate messaging needs with other law school departments, particularly for onboarding first-year law students each year.
  • Learn and implement new technologies to market programs and events effectively.
  • Assist with student conversion programs designed to promote enrollment.
  • Assist in reviewing approximately 1,000 or more admission applications per cycle.
  • Stay current on University policies and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act regulations and ensure compliance when distributing student information.
  • Assist with operating the admissions database, UNITE.
  • Attend fall recruitment events, including periodic local and out-of-state travel.
  • Assist with final examination administration and proctoring at the end of the fall and spring semesters and with commencement each year.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree or Juris Doctor degree is strongly preferred.
  • At least two years of related work experience in a law school admissions or higher education recruitment environment is preferred.
  • Experience with a customer relationship management platform, preferably Salesforce, is preferred.
  • Strong social media skills using Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are preferred.
  • Ability to lead and guide diverse, high-performing teams while fostering trust, collaboration, transparency, and accountability is preferred.
