Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Five to seven years of experience administering a customer relationship management system, preferably Slate, and/or a student information system in a higher education setting.
  • Direct, hands-on experience configuring Slate rules, workflows, forms, portals, and communication/event modules.
  • Working technical proficiency to troubleshoot and resolve complex data and configuration issues.
  • Experience with Workday Student or a comparable student information system such as Banner or PeopleSoft, including data imports, integrations, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate operational needs from non-technical staff into system configuration and solutions.
  • Experience with duplicate resolution, quality-assurance reporting, and audit processes.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear documentation and training materials for non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently as a subject-matter expert while collaborating across admission, information technology, financial aid, and registrar functions.
  • Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary Slate administrator for the Office of Graduate Admission and maintain rules as programs, terms, and policies change.
  • Build and maintain portals, request-for-information forms, application forms, application-review forms, and event templates.
  • Manage the annual cycle refresh, including rounds, retention policy maintenance, and Graduate Source Format checks.
  • Own workflow configuration, including source origins that fall outside the typical graduate-degree admission review, and manage application-change workflows.
  • Troubleshoot day-to-day Slate issues escalated by admission and operations teams.
  • Manage source formats for graduate programs, including vendor imports and operational types.
  • Provide Financial Aid Office support for decision validation and reporting needs drawn from Slate.
  • Reconcile data between Slate and the INTO Suffolk application system, manage application flow between the systems, and serve as the technical point of contact for program or admission-requirement changes communicated to INTO.
  • Develop and implement a data-integrity testing strategy for Slate to identify configuration and data errors before production.
  • Maintain internal Slate documentation so configuration decisions and standard operating procedures are preserved.
  • Integrate customer relationship management document management with Perceptive ImageNow so application documents and records are captured, indexed, and accessible according to university document-management standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Workday Student functions relevant to graduate admission, including application groupings, user provisioning, workflow and business-process updates, and end-of-cycle wrap-up.
  • Manage Workday import processes, including ISSO/SEVIS data loads, during peak import periods.
  • Resolve duplicate records and other data-integrity issues with Admissions Operations, University IT, and the Registrar's Office, and run and review recurring quality-assurance reports.
  • Monitor Workday integration schedules and escalate integration-update service needs to University IT.
  • Identify and document a backup and succession plan for Workday permissions specific to the role.
  • Build and maintain ad hoc and recurring Slate and Workday reports for enrollment-management leadership and the operations team, including standard reports ahead of each admission cycle.
  • Partner with the Director to develop a core library of queries and reports that reduces routine data-request dependence on the role.
  • Document Slate and Workday procedures and update documentation as configuration changes.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements that reduce manual work and replace manual steps with system-driven solutions where feasible.
  • Train Graduate Admission staff on Slate and Workday functionality and serve as a resource for system questions.
  • Participate in office-wide systems initiatives and cross-departmental projects involving Financial Aid, International Student Services, and the Registrar.
  • Support and staff marquee admission events as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with graduate admission cycles, merit or financial-aid workflows, or international student processes involving SEVIS or ISSO.
  • Slate certification or Workday Student certification or Pro credential.
  • Experience serving as a functional liaison between an admission office and University IT or a vendor support team.
  • Familiarity with SEVIS/ISSO reporting requirements and international partnership integrations such as INTO.
  • Experience with a document-management system such as Perceptive ImageNow integrated with a customer relationship management system or student information system.
