Responsibilities:

• Forward Networks seeks a Technical Projects Systems Engineer to become a key contributor to our Center of Excellence team.
• Primary responsibilities include building and configuring enterprise-grade networks using physical and virtual elements, explaining the inner-workings of the network architecture and enabled features to internal stakeholders, and contributing to business needs and objectives of Global Sales organization.
• Work with pre and post-sales engineering teams to participate as a specialist, provide consultative support,
• Build base networks leveraged for FVD (Forward Validated Design) and best practices collateral

• Support a highly matrixed organization to build test-and-trial networks, release training networks, assist in articulating the value messaging for Forward Networks Platform.

Required Qualifications:

• Advanced level in routing and switching technologies (OSPF, IS-IS, BGP, MPLS, VXLAN EVPN)
• Working knowledge and experience with scripting languages, e.g. Python, Go, etc
• Experience working with network security appliances (Palo-Alto firewall, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Juniper SRX, etc)
• Experience working with Application Delivery Controllers and Load-balancers, e.g. F5 LTM, A10, AVI, etc
• Working knowledge in server virtualization technologies, e.g. VmWare vSphere, Docker/Linux containers, Kubernetes
• Working knowledge in traffic generation/benchmarking tools
• Working knowledge of Public Cloud technologies, e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure
• Computer Science or equivalent educational experience
• CCNP-level certification required (R&S, DC, Security, etc)

Highly Desired:

• CCIE (R&S, DC, SP, Security, etc) or JNCIE highly desirable
• AWS, GCP, Azure certifications are highly desirable
