Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or GED and one year of experience and/or training in community development, social services, or a related field.
  • At least one year of experience working with families, adults, and youth in a diverse population; youth ages 5–12 in a classroom or after-school setting; or older adults and elderly populations.
  • Experience supporting program and service implementation and coordination.
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation and relationship- and community-building skills.
  • Judgment, discretion, and problem-solving skills when working with families and students.
  • Ability to work with high-needs and underserved populations.
  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Reading, writing, and verbal communication skills, including comfort communicating across language barriers and using translation apps and services.
  • Ability to use Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, Zoom, Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite, and other technology tools.
  • Availability to work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with at least one and up to two or more evenings until 7:00 PM.
  • Ability to travel between properties.
  • Ability to perform the stated desk-based computer, sitting, standing, walking, reaching, grasping, telephone, filing, and lifting duties, including handling objects up to 15 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver onsite educational, wellness, and asset-building programs and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
  • Conduct door-to-door, phone, and email outreach to promote resident services.
  • Prepare and submit required documentation for MidPen and external agencies.
  • Provide crisis intervention for low-to-moderate situations and follow mandated reporting procedures.
  • Support partnership goals and communicate improvement needs to the supervisor.
  • Collaborate with local community agencies and monitor partner service delivery.
  • Assist with property-level needs assessments and follow-up actions.
  • Participate in property plan development and respond to resident needs.
  • Provide customer service and responsiveness to residents.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely reporting according to policies.
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings, and property events, and keep the supervisor informed.
  • Foster collaboration with Property Management and colleagues.
Desired Qualifications
  • Progress toward a two-year or four-year college degree.
  • Experience collaborating with local service providers.
  • Bilingual ability as determined by the resident and property population.
