We are seeking an Assistant Scientist – Product Development. Experience is not required for this position outside of general biology and chemistry laboratory coursework. The ideal candidate will be able to learn and adapt quickly to our internal methods and show high attention to detail. This may be an ideal position for a new graduate who is looking to gain initial industry experience. This position serves as a key collaborative member who provides leadership and support for multiple projects and diverse teams. Responsibilities:

• Apply laboratory skills and experience to reliably manufacture a variety of reagents/materials for internal and commercial use, using manual and automated (robotic) methods
• Document and maintain highly detailed records pertaining to the manufacture and/or testing of the produced materials
• Perform analytical and/or functional quality control studies on manufactured reagents to verify that all materials meet specifications
• Help create manufacturing work instructions, lot history records, standard operating procedures, and other documents as pertains to manufacturing and quality control
• Opportunities to execute other R&D studies may arise depending on the requirements of the projects and demonstrated proficiency

Requirements:

• BS in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, or related field with relevant laboratory coursework
• Candidate must be highly detail-oriented in following training/SOPs and generating records of work performed
• Familiarity with molecular biology, immunoassay/ELISA, or other biochemistry experimental techniques and with laboratory automation is a plus.
• Proactive and problem-solving mentality to identify problems or improve processes is highly desired
• Ability to adapt, prioritize, and make decisions in a fast-paced work environment where demands change and teamwork is critical
• Ability to use Excel or other data management software at a beginner level
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

The base salary range for this full-time position is $75,000 - $80,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
